Currently studying Law at the University of Chester

I studied Chemistry, Biology, Maths & English at Winstanley College and to say that I struggled with biology in my first year would be an understatement. I scraped a pass and my confidence was knocked massively. I seriously considered dropping the subject however thought I’d give it another try in second year and I’m so glad that I changed my mind.

Gareth taught me in second year and I was shocked to have instantly felt confortable in his lessons. He has such a positive attitude towards all of his students and never let me give up on myself. Gareth knew I was struggling and so offered to meet with me at lunchtimes to give me some extra help and support.

I ended up getting a grade that I was really pleased with and which has enabled me to study a subject that I love at university. I’ve got an awful lot to thank Gareth for and any student who is lucky enough to be taught by him should do amazingly well in Biology.
