Currently studying Economics at the University of Durham

Starting Winstanley College was a scary prospect. Choosing subjects and fitting in wasn’t easy for anyone. I studied Economics, Maths, Geography, and Biology.

Biology was an unusual choice for me and arguably didn’t fit but honestly Gareth made it more than worth the time. Not only did he help us to grow comfortable in the new environment but also progress quickly in such a challenging subject. Gareth worked well individually, practically or just as gentle guidance to allow you to develop at the right pace.

I have gone on to study Economics at Durham University where the content of A-level biology is no longer required but the skills that Gareth nurtured better than anyone else continue to prove invaluable.
